Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Programs-- The Advanced Communications & Data Links Roadmap team is a fast growing team within the Fort Worth Advanced Development Programs (ADP) organization responsible for shaping, crafting, and maturing the future architecture and capabilities related to communications and data links. The team is looking for a dynamic, outgoing, and proactive individual who is ready to make immediate contributions to shape and define the future communications system architecture. This candidate needs to have previous system architecture experience spanning from creation of system level requirements and architectures through decomposition down to the software level requirements and architecture with a strong background in data links/communication and systems engineering. This person will be working closely with the Roadmap Lead, Project Manager, Software Architect, Software Leads, and Lab Lead while supporting the development teams as a systems architect, subject matter expert (SME) and teacher. Good communication is a must along with a positive attitude, demonstrated accountability, excellent time management skills, and team focus. Travel (approximately once a month) is required to customer facilities and Lockheed Martin sites. The selected candidate must be a US citizen and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information (including an investigation within the last 5 years).   • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering
  • Professional Hardware Design Experience
  • Proven history of architecting complex digital hardware
  • Demonstrated experience leading a technical team
  • Ability to design and development Mission Systems (MS) hardware subsystem
  • Experience with Electronics design, assembly, and checkout
  • Demonstrated experience working through all phases of hardware development including platform integration/adoption
  • Experience with managing supplier requirements and tracking supplier execution
  • Ability to work with different engineering disciplines (software, systems, RF, networking, reliability, cybersecurity, etc.) to derive and decompose requirements
  • Experience with Safety Critical system design characteristics
  • Experience with VITA OpenVPX Family of Standards and/or SOSA Technical Standard
  • Experience with Gigahertz microprocessors, FPGAs, DDR4 memory, flash memory, and high-density interconnect technologies.
  • Familiarity with RF system design, including components, such as amplifiers, filters, and antennas
  • Knowledge of the proposal process
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering Tools (Rhapsody, MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler, etc.)
