About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior-level Systems Engineer supporting NGA and specifically the Enterprise Schedule Management and Risk functions within. Guides engineering Teams in taking a multi-discipline approach to requirements engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across sensitive architectures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
  • Senior-level experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process of system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with the systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing systems interfaces and end-to-end systems integration of new and existing capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience with schedule planning tools, specifically MS Project and Primavera.
  • Demonstrated experience with Jira and VBA
  • Demonstrated experience creating an integrated master schedule, identifying and tracking activities and major tasks, assignments, milestones, dependencies and risks.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the assessment, evaluation and deployment of new or emerging technologies into operations or the architectural impacts and a recommendation path forward.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management or technical team leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program. An advanced degree in this category can account for an additional two years of experience.
  • Experience with sensitive architecture, NSG/ARG and NRO enterprises.
  • Experience in the field of geospatial intelligence, to include Structured Observation Management (SOM), Activity Based Intelligence (ABI), and Object Based Production (OBP).
  • Experience in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields.
  • Experience in systems definition and development oversight or cloud technology engineering and migration.
  • Experience in the field of exploitation management, or intelligence reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
  • Working knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
  • Software Development Framework, Agile, PMP, or INCOSE ESEP certification.

Responsibilities

  • Guides Mid-level system engineers performing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the architectures
  • Guides the planning, analysis/traceability of user requirements, architectures traceability, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review cloud service capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
  • Guides Mid-level system engineers developing solutions designs based on analysis of requirements and new technology.
  • Collaborates with government leadership and enterprise schedule management subject matter experts to design the maintain tools to be leveraged across the customer's enterprise which allow agency personnel to be able to visualize schedule management and risk data.
  • Works with government and contractor personnel supporting architecture, release management, and other teams as required, to design and develop approaches to integrate data to be presented with tools developed for the management and visualization of the enterprise schedule management data
  • Ensures that tools developed for the management and visualization of the enterprise schedule management and risk data include required security and access controls.
  • Executed the day-to-day management and analysis of scheduling engineering processes, to include design, integration testing and deployments.
  • Leads the preparation of documents, records, forms, reports and plans covering systems engineering and integration activities, responsible for delivering complex schedules while identifying critical paths and cross project dependencies and risks.
  • Provides status and updates to government, program and team leadership regarding programmatic and technical progress achieved toward timely delivery of solutions.
  • Provide briefings to internal team and assist with briefings to senior government customers.
  • Assists the Government in performing system integration activities.
  • Operates at the level of integrating multiple systems, services, processes, and interfaces within a Major Systems Acquisitions across organizational and agency boundaries.
  • Explains technical issues clearly/accurately to technical/non-technical audiences.
  • Establishes effective customer relationships with senior level government personnel with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
