The Systems Engineer shall be responsible for resolving incidents escalated to or originating at the Systems Engineering level.
Responsible for administration of the Microsoft computing environment that includes, but is not limited to: Software and Patch Management (SCCM/MCM Specific): Packaging, testing, and deploying software and OS images using SCCM/MCM. Distributing and managing security updates, hotfixes, and patches across servers and workstations.
Microsoft Domain Administration: Administering the Microsoft domain environment, Active Directory, Domain Controllers, and DNS.
Troubleshooting and Support: Responding to trouble tickets from the automated Service Desk, and troubleshooting and resolving system issues using configuration analysis and subsystem repair/replacement procedures.
Infrastructure Management: Managing and maintaining virtualization platforms, including VMware vCenter, ESXi hosts, Hyper-V, and Nutanix, and initiating backup and recovery functions.
Automation and Compliance: Developing and maintaining scripts (PowerShell, VBScript) to automate administrative tasks, and ensuring endpoint devices meet security and compliance standards using SCCM and Microsoft Intune.
Must have at least five (5) years of experience in the Microsoft computing environment with strong expertise in Microsoft SCCM/MCM, Windows Servers, and Windows desktop environments.
Demonstrated expertise and knowledge of Microsoft domain administration, Active Directory, Domain Controllers, DNS, and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
VMware vCenter and ESXi host administration, and Hyper-V and Nutanix administration.
Application packaging tools such as InstallShield, Orca, or Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT).
OS image management.
Must maintain a current Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
Must maintain a current Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.
Microsoft certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, or Modern Desktop Administrator Associate are preferred.
