About The Position

Serco supports the Next generation of Wideband Satellite Communication Systems with hands-on experience testing complex system of systems, Test Automation development, and integration testing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a passionate team providing critical solutions to U.S. Department of Defense communications programs. In this role, you will: Serve as the SERCO Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) Perform software baseline deployment, testing, and troubleshooting in a development/test network environment Integrate software into test suites, develop configurations for test events, and troubleshoot systems during these events Regularly demonstrate an understanding of test plans, test procedures, test automation, test reports, and execution of integration test activities in System Integration Labs (SILs) or offsite locations Read error logs and coordinate corrections with the development team Collaborate with external industry partner teams to resolve issues and support operations and sustainment Partner significantly with industry and government stakeholder teams Experience implementing Test automation solutions into Systems of systems Generate and present material to support internal and external customer briefings Maintain familiarity with DevOps processes and Cloud Infrastructure

Requirements

  • One of the following: High school diploma/GED with a minimum of 12 years of engineering and/or testing experience Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 8 years of engineering and/or testing experience Master's degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 6 years of engineering and/or testing experience PhD in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 4 years of engineering and/or testing experience
  • An active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
  • A valid U.S. Passport for potential travel outside the continental United States
  • Professional experience with Systems/Software Testing and Integration
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex systems
  • Ability to collaborate and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Security+ or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • The ability to travel up to 25%.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Army/Space Force Wideband Global Satcom or Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) and Subsytems Operator/Maintainer experience
  • Prior experience as a SATCOM Operation Center System Administrator, Field Engineer or Support Engineer
  • Professional experience with virtualized and/or simulation environments to include Windows, Linux, and VM environments
  • Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
  • Experience in integrating complex system across multiple domains
  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, C++/C# for Test automation
  • Full lifecycle project development experience
  • Experience working in Agile Teams and following SAFe methodologies
  • Current CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • Experience documenting design, processes, and procedures
  • Experience presenting Test and Design reviews to demonstrate concepts of operations and Test event plans to management and customers
  • Experience preparing Test plans, Test documentation, and After-action reports
  • Solid understanding of the fundamentals of Test and Evaluation
  • Experience preparing and delivering Technical Training to Co-Workers, Service Members and Customers
