About The Position

We are Lockheed Martin. This position is with the Skunk Works Mission Systems Integration team located in Palmdale, CA. This Systems Engineering position is focused on Design, Supplier Management and Integration & Test activities for Mission Systems. A combination of team work, independence, and flexibility will be required in the early stages of the program where task responsibilities may be changing. Such tasks will include the following: requirements decomposition; trade studies; risk abatement; system architecture design; hardware integration planning; and supplier coordination. As the program matures and hardware becomes available, this position will be responsible for hardware and software integration and test. The selected candidate must be a self-starter with demonstrated leadership qualities. The candidate will work cross-functionally with other engineering disciplines, as well as with program leadership, and external customers and suppliers. The ADP program environment includes complex, integrated system requirements, aggressive milestones, and dynamic task prioritization. The ability to address priorities within budget and schedule is required. The selected candidate must be willing to employ innovative approaches to maximize program performance. The selected candidate will be required to prepare and give briefings as required to customers, technical leads and/or Lockheed Martin management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM field
  • Experience with development, integration and test of Mission Systems (RF, Electro Optical, Communications, etc)
  • Experience leading diverse team of engineers
  • Knowledge of latest collaborative autonomy and digital engineering efforts (Confluence, Jira, Cameo, 3DX)
  • Background in open system architecture requirements, frameworks, and implementations
  • Experience developing system modeling architectures and system integration test environments
  • Verification and Validation experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide vision for mission system software and architecture, including open system architecture implementation, system modeling architectures, and system integration and test
  • Identify technical needs for program execution
  • Create program execution plan, including timeline and staffing
  • Build and equip mission system software and integration team
  • Work closely with Chief Engineering and Program Management to ensure sound technical product delivery on time and on budget
