Systems Engineer Principal
About The Position
SAIC is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support the GCDN/OCP program in Charleston, SC location. This position is 100% remote. The candidate will: Serve as the technical lead and subject-matter expert for the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of Combat Data Networks (CDN) and Operational Command Posts (OCP) across global and tactical deployments. Develop secure, scalable communications infrastructures, ensuring interoperability and mission-aligned functionality for CDN and OCP solutions. Lead teams in building and integrating CDN systems to enable high-performance data transport and real-time analytics support in command post operations. Architect and oversee the deployment of OCP systems, including tactical shelters, mobile command platforms, and secure communications hubs. Manage the engineering process from concept to completion, including requirements definition, system design, testing, and operational readiness. Develop and implement controls, processes, and enhancements to ensure the security, reliability, and operational effectiveness of military-grade CDN/OCP systems in contingency and forward-deployed environments.
Requirements
- Bachelors and 9 yrs or more experience.
- Must be a US Citizen with an ACTIVE secret clearance.
