Requirements

  • 2 Years of relevant experience with Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline; 0 Years of relevant experience with Masters for Systems Engineer.
  • 5 Years of relevant experience with Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline; 3 Years of relevant experience with Masters; 1 Year of relevant experience with PhD for Principal Systems Engineer.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required at time of application.
  • Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and processes.
  • Experience with front end of SE 'vee' requirements analysis and decomposition and generation of requirement specifications.
  • Experience with CAMEO or other MBSE tools and Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML) and concepts.
  • Ability to collaborate and contribute to technical discussions with fellow team members, cross-organizational teams, and management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Ground and Space systems and/or Command and Control systems.
  • Experience with requirements verification.
  • Experience with interface engineering, including development of ICDs.
  • Experience working with Software teams.
  • Experience with Agile development.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support a team of engineers to define, develop, decompose, analyze, verify, and validate requirements for the ground segment of a satellite system.
  • Focus primarily on requirements analysis, decomposition, and allocation from system-level requirements down to lower-level requirements.
  • Support the development of the modeling products in CAMEO EA for the program.
  • Translate and map CONOPS and use cases into requirements.
  • Define interfaces and develop requirement specifications and a requirements traceability matrix.
  • Liaise with subject matter experts, analysts, architects, designers, and specialty engineers to ensure requirements are defined holistically, completely, and unambiguously for an integrated system.
