About The Position

As a systems engineer for Network & Communications Systems (NCS), you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for networking architecture, design, development, and troubleshooting. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
• 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
• Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

• Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) preferred.
• Hands-on experience with configuration of multi-vendor routers and switches and network architecture.
• Network troubleshooting using Wireshark and similar tools to isolate issues.
• Experience with IP Multicast configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 Virtual Private Networking (VPN) over Meshed military radio networks desired.
• Experience with OpenVPX chassis and CMOSS / SOSA.
• Experience with virtual environments [VMWare/Linux] and virtual devices: routers; firewalls; call managers; Bandwidth Virtualization (Seeker).
• Experience with basic configuration hardening settings to conform to STIGs and RMF security recommendations for Routers/Switches and other devices.
