The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Systems Engineer-MECM to support our government customer located in Washington, DC. DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for supporting the personnel, applications, and appliances employed to maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements to include but not limited to extensive engineering of Windows and Linux operating systems. Installing, configuring and tuning operations systems, third party applications and operating system security patches. Troubleshooting operating systems, applications, and databases. Working with systems hosted in a complex, multi-layers network. Cybersecurity control implementation, IT infrastructure management, resource monitoring and alerting. Working with SAN, Enterprise backup solutions and fault tolerant technologies Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on MECM best practices. Other duties as assigned.

Working with SAN, Enterprise backup solutions and fault tolerant technologies
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on MECM best practices.
Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field or four to seven (4-7) years of experience in the information technology field.
Must be IAT or IAM level III certified (CASP, CCNP, CISA, CISM, CISSP)
Working knowledge of multi-platform engineering, planning, coordinating, and executing patch management operations, creating baselines, and configuring hardened systems.
Strong experience with centrally managed Linux and Window systems patched through automated processes or in some cases manually if required to bring the systems into compliance.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) specifically with the following: MECM Deployment and Management Software and Application Deployments Packaging and Deploying Customizing Deployments
MECM Operating System Deployment (OSD) Managing and Deploying Windows 11 Baseline using MECM Creating and Deploying task sequences for Operating Systems upgrades and applications
MECM Monitoring and Troubleshooting Monitoring MECM client health and infrastructure health Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to MECM infrastructure and client Providing Tier 2 support for MECM-related incidents and problems
Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teamwork by partnering with desktop support, security, network teams, application owners, and other IT teams to ensure smooth rollout of updates, maintenance of IT standards, and proper application compatibility.
Ability to communicate and coordinate with customers and stakeholders to collect data, analyze requirements, develop solutions and provide follow-up reports on technical findings and resolutions.
Ability to use MECM reporting features to create reports on software license usage, patch deployments, and compliance levels.
Ability to work closely with and clearly articulate to the customer and technical team leads the scope of solutions and remediation plans.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable with most aspects of operating system administration; for example, system installation and configuration, fundamentals of security, installing third party software.
Understands end-user operating systems, server operating systems, virtualization, and middleware.
Familiarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts; understand basic routing concepts.
Ability to write scripts in some administrative language (TK, Perl, VBScript, PowerShell, etc.)
Knowledge of cybersecurity control implementation, IT infrastructure management, resource monitoring and alerting.
Knowledgeable with SAN, Enterprise Backup solutions and fault tolerant technologies.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Must have an active Top-Secret clearance.
