About The Position

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a System Engineer (Machining) opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN. The position involves supporting new machining center installations and/or existing machining production operations through configuration management activities, various paperwork activities, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities. The role requires performing troubleshooting and improvement activities, applying systems and equipment expertise to resolve technical system and equipment issues in cooperation with other related disciplines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited school.
• 5 to 20+ years of experience.
• Machining background experience.
• Experience in an NRC or DOE regulated environment is desirable.
• Understanding of Conduct of Engineering, Conduct of Operations, and Conduct of Maintenance for facilities operating within a nuclear regulated environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a production environment.
• Experience in Integrated Safety Management is a plus.
• Active DOE Q clearance or ability to obtain one.
• United States Citizenship required.
