Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Engineer Systems Level 5 to support the Minotaur program as mission manager at the Chandler, AZ facility. The Minotaur launch program provides satellite to on-orbit capability to government customers using refurbished Peacekeeper, and Minuteman boosters in addition to integrated Northrop Grumman boosters and avionics systems. Essential Functions: Generate/document system level launch vehicle requirements, perform vehicle performance assessments, and participate in system level verification/data review activities Decompose, trace, and verify mission requirements within the designated requirement tracking database (DOORS) Interface with program management, engineering staff, and external customers Lead a team of systems engineers to complete efforts per the systems engineering standard Travel to support field/launch campaigns, and customer meetings with the opportunity to sit on launch console Present, and prepare materials for presentation during critical reviews

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 12 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in STEM with 10 years of related engineering experience, or a PhD in STEM with 8yrs engineering experience
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • US DoD Interim Secret security clearance, or higher at the time of application
  • Ability to travel is required
  • Strong technical problem solving, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong resolve to drive tasks to completion autonomously

Responsibilities
