This position is with the historic Skunk Works in Palmdale, CA. We are looking for world-class talent for this position to join the 75+ year tradition of creating advanced aircraft. What You Will Be Doing: The candidate will have experience across the spectrum of systems engineering activities, ideally in a model-based environment. The candidate must be able to handle multiple and widely varying assignments simultaneously in a fast paced, ever changing environment. The candidate will generate, decompose, track and verify requirements, perform risk assessments, perform trade studies, write supplier specifications, support technical planning, and support integration and test activities. The candidate must have the ability to work independently in addition to being a team player, successfully meet assigned deadlines, effectively communicate solutions to senior leaders and proactively elevate issues when necessary. Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited university in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree
  • Experience in systems engineering or closely-related engineering discipline
  • Experience with requirements definition, tracking and/or verification
  • Must be a US Citizen, must have a minimum final Top Secret clearance within last five years with ability obtaining a SAR/SAP clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with digital engineering or model-based engineering
  • Familiarity with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools
  • Experience in developing processes, procedures, and other complex formal technical documentation
  • Experience developing a system architecture (or familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Agile SAFe methodology
