About The Position

SMX is seeking a TMPC/C5I Network Engineer to provide Systems Engineering Journeyman) support to the Strike Planning and Execution Systems Program Office (PMA-281) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. The ideal candidate will provide network engineering support to develop multi-level security communications solutions for the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) for Tomahawk missile with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Allies & Partners. PMA-281 is responsible for the acquisition and life cycle management of a range of mission planning, control systems and execution tools that are developed and integrated in partnership with other NAVAIR program offices, other Services, and foreign nation customers/partners. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform Systems Engineering functions combined with strong network engineering experience to develop cross-domain multi-level security communications solutions for mission orders to FMS Allies and Partners Perform programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems; guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems; and employing systems engineering methods and tools in the development of systems Develop and generate Systems Security artifacts required to transfer technologies for Allies and Partner nations with FMS cases Perform software acquisition functions, requirements management, design and develop software workflow, and resolve cryptographic issues and specific challenges associated with non-FVEY partner nation Able to perform software requirements broken down into systems requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a higher level if required; TS/SCI eligible desired
  • Three (3) years of recent and relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in network engineering expertise is required
  • Demonstrated experience in cross-domain multi-level security communications solutions is required
  • Understanding of developing a network with Allies and Partner nations is required
  • Understanding the design and development of software workflow is required

  • Ability to perform software requirements decomposition broken down into systems requirements and cryptographic requirements associated with partner nations
