About The Position

SimVentions is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to perform systems and software engineering support for the the acquisition, development and sustainment of various programs supporting aircraft and weapons systems.

Requirements

Must have at least 8 years experience providing Software and/or Systems Engineering support for DoD aircraft systems, DoD weapon systems, DoD mission systems, and/or DoD Support Systems, including:
Writing, reviewing, and deriving system and/or software requirements
Supporting Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) processes
Supporting System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
Delivering written and oral presentations.
An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience with DOD-STD-2167A/MIL-STD-498/IEEE 12207.
Experience with Systems Software, Systems-of-Systems engineering, model-based systems engineering, or systems safety & reliability.
Experience in military aircraft avionic systems and software.
Knowledge of Ada and C++ coding languages.
Knowledge of contracting and proposal development processes.

Responsibilities

Perform Software Systems Engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of various programs supporting aircraft and weapons systems.
Perform the following activities as part of software development: system resource evaluation; software requirements evaluation; design evaluation; software definition, code and unit test; integration test; software delivery and independent test; software quality assurance; and software configuration monitoring.
Conduct reviews of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) products.
Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.) evaluating supporting work products to Government standards.
Participate in all software life-cycle reviews from requirements analysis, preliminary design, detailed design, integration, and test.
Review and comment on proposed system requirements, based on Government provided information.
Verify the system requirements meet the stated program objectives. Support program reviews and periodic program status meetings.
Support Statement of Work and CDRL development.
Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
Make recommendations regarding human systems engineering.
