Requirements

• Bachelor's level degree in an engineering discipline.
• Twelve (12) years of professional experience in systems engineering in areas such as requirements definition, system design parameters, concept operation, risk assessment, productivity studies/analyses, performance analyses, test and evaluation, post-delivery support.
• Active Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Engineering experience supporting U.S. Navy providing services and support for Combat Systems including Sensor Distribution Systems (SDS), Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), AEGIS, ZUMWALT, Integrated Combat System (ICS) and future Combat Systems.
• Experience in operational level Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Cyber security, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C6ISR).

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute engineering activities that include developing technical approaches and plans that support customer's desired capabilities.
• Determine scope of work tasks to complete the technical effort and estimate time to accomplish the work tasks.
• Establish feasible schedules based on resource availability on systems.
• Develop advanced engineering concepts and guide development to a final product.
• Develop and implement an approach for the capture, analysis and trace of artifacts that provide the requirements of the system's performance, function and allocated baseline.
• Maintain traceability from engineering products to user defined capabilities.
• Provide systems and technical engineering services including planning, developing hardware requirements, interface design, testing, configuration management, data management, decision analysis, technical review, fielding support and documentation.
• Support software engineering development and support services on systems.
• Support the operational requirement/user/operational test community to ensure the concept of operations (CONOPS) to verify and validate system performance and operational capability.
• Develop design reference missions, use cases, Systems Modeling Language and Unified Model Language model diagrams.
• Estimate time to accomplish the work tasks and establish feasible schedules and resources.
