Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern - Systems Engineer (IT & Networks) on the Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program in Colorado Springs, CO. In this role, you will be given tasks appropriate for your level and will work with mentors to develop your skills as needed. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge from IT courses that focus on the function and use cases for devices such as routers, switches, servers, storage, and/or firewalls.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a 2nd or 3rd year student in a 4 year College or University pursuing a B.S degree Computer Science/Engineering or related STEM Field.
  • Proficient with computer science knowledge
  • Familiar with computer networking technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to write code / scripts in programming language(s)
  • Relevant coursework in areas such as: Computer Systems, Networks, Security, Programming, or Architecture
  • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands on experience with creating, loading, or troubleshooting network configurations a plus.
  • Programming experience with Python, PowerShell, Ansible.
  • Having a DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant certification (e.g. CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP) at start is desired.
