This position will be located at our Space sector in Aurora, CO .

Requirements

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026
Be majoring in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or a related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2026.
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Basic knowledge of systems engineering principles, processes, and methodologies (e.g., requirements management, systems architecture, integration, etc.)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Top Secret / SCI Clearance required to start

Nice To Haves

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
Familiarity with tools such as MATLAB, DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler, or similar systems engineering software
Understanding of system modeling (MBSE - Model-Based Systems Engineering) concepts and methodologies
Basic knowledge of relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Java)
Experience with design, testing, or debugging of hardware/software systems (academic or personal projects)
Exposure to Agile development methodologies or project lifecycle management

Responsibilities

Assist in the development and documentation of system requirements, specifications, and design solutions
Participate in systems engineering analyses, including trade studies, modeling, and simulations
Support system integration, testing, and troubleshooting activities to ensure project milestones are met
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to system-level solutions
Assist in preparation of technical reports, presentations, and other deliverables for internal or customer reviews
Conduct research and gather data to support engineering assessments and decision-making
Perform tasks related to configuration management, risk assessment, and requirement verification/validation
