Lockheed Martin Space in is seeking Systems Engineer Summer 2026 Intern to join the Global Security team in Denver, Colorado. In this role you will participate in engineering tasks supporting a systems engineering team. Working with experienced engineers, you will perform work in all systems engineering phases that could include: Requirements definition Allocation and maintenance CONOPs development Integration and Test plan development Trade studies Interface Control Document (ICD) development The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle, as well as basic analysis tools such as MatLab and STK, and basic knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering approaches and tools, to include CAMEO. The Systems Engineer - Intern can expect to be part of the following tasks: Technical planning Systems integration Verification and validation Cost and risk assessment Supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. This position requires selected candidate to be eligible to obtain a government security clearance - U.S. Citizenship required. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Requirements

  • Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering or in a related Engineering discipline program from an accredited college
  • Project based experience in coursework, extracurricular activity and/or work experience
  • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

  • Systems Engineering lifecycle knowledge and experience
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) knowledge and experience
  • CAMEO utilization experience
  • Active or Current Top Secret security clearance
  • Experience working on cross-functional project teams, with excellent communication and collaboration skills
