Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems in Moorestown, NJ is seeking a Systems Engineer Intern for Summer 2026. In this role, you will execute all phases of the systems engineering process including requirements allocation, tracing and authoring; system design and algorithm development; data analysis of simulation and test data; and system integration and test. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of MATLAB, Python, C++, or similar programming/scripting language. Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent.
Strong foundation in systems engineering principles, including requirements allocation, requirement tracing; system design and algorithm development.
Data analysis and system integration and test.
Experience in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or similar programming or scripting language.
Familiarity with UNIX OS.
Must be a US Citizen.
This position will require a government security clearance.
This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

Experience with model-based system engineering using SysML (activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, etc.).
Knowledge of algorithm development, data analysis, and system test.
Experience with formal requirements verification, test procedure and test script development, and root cause analysis and resolution of defects.
Experience with system integration and testing, and interfacing with software teams to communicate designs and troubleshoot issues.
Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Git.
Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
