Think you’ve got what it takes to join our TIC team? Keep reading… A day in the life… Wondering what a day in the life of Systems Engineer II at The Iowa Clinic might look like? Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s systems infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services ensuring compatibility with enterprise applications. This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to troubleshoot complex issues, and the capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational continuity. As a mid-level engineer, this position takes ownership in infrastructure systems, provides advanced support, participates in project planning, and contributes to the ongoing optimization and modernization of IT systems.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in an information technology focused program or equivalent progressive work experience
  • 3 – 6 years of enterprise systems engineering experience.

  • Microsoft Certified Endpoint Administrator Associate

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain Windows server and identity infrastructure.
  • Manage virtualization, storage, backup and Microsoft 365 platforms.
  • Design and maintain automation and infrastructure as code.
  • Lead incident resolution.
  • Promotes a positive, professional image of The Iowa Clinic both internally and externally.
  • Provides 50% operational support and 50% project and modernization work.
  • Participate in an after-hours or on-call work for maintenance and incident response.
