Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 3 years serving in a systems engineer role on a Department of Defense (DOD) acquisition program.
  • 3 years performing research, design, development, or applying software programming concepts to hardware solutions.
  • 3 years integrating various network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices through system specification, design, coding, and testing.
  • 3 years using a configuration management tool to track technical data package (TDP) redlines, configuration changes, and engineering change proposals (ECP).
  • Effective written and verbal skills.
  • Effective presentation delivery of data to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • 3 years leading technical teams of 3 or more personnel.
  • Interim Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Degree: Bachelor of Science (BS) Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Clearance: Active Secret clearance.
  • Department of Defense (DOD) acquisition program Navy / USMC experience preferred.
  • CMPro experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review integration of complex counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) that includes radars, cameras, electro-optical sensors, satellite and terrestrial communications, networking, computers, and weapon systems.
  • Design, validate, and re-design simple point-to-point through complex multi-legged Military Standard cables using computer aided drafting (CAD) software.
  • Designing, validating, and re-designing mechanical mounts with consideration to cable runs, equipment center of gravity, and human factors within a tactical military vehicle.
  • Review and provide recommendations to optimize software code.
  • Work collaboratively with Government engineers and vendor representatives to solve problems.
  • Provide technical input to Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), test plans (TP), test objectives, entrance criteria, and exit criteria for each test.
  • Investigate Test Incident Reports (TIR) during test events using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) criteria.
  • Establish and maintain the system’s requirements traceability matrix (RTM).
  • Provide input to material procurement managers to justify sole source selections, alternate sources of supply, alternate part numbers, and adherence to applicable military standards.
  • Conduct lifecycle analysis at the system component level to include but not limited to: end of life (EOL) projections and engineering input to reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety (RAMS) analysis.
  • Establish quality assurance (QA) acceptance procedures for incoming finished material.
