As a Systems Engineer II within our (NGA) Next-Generation Avionics group, you will make an impact on the development, implementation, and management of cutting-edge Flight Display Systems. As a flagship product, the Honeywell Anthem Flight Deck System is not just another avionics product; it is a visionary endeavor that employs cutting-edge technologies to redefine how pilots interact with flight information and aircraft systems. In this role, you will contribute development, systems integration, and verification of core Display applications for our Next Generation Avionics Platform. You will work alongside a diverse team of engineers and designers to create and implement forward-thinking solutions for Anthem Flight Display Systems. Your role will involve designing, analyzing, and validating system requirements to ensure the successful integration of advanced avionics technologies. The Next Generation Avionics (NGA) group at Honeywell is dedicated to developing cutting-edge avionics systems that provide the necessary information for safe and efficient flights. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 2 years of experience in systems engineering
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning
  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Engineering degrees in AE (Aerospace Engineering), SE (Systems Engineering), etc
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles and processes.
  • Familiarity with avionics systems and display technologies is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with Simulink or similar model-based design tools
  • Experience with IMA IO and IO Scheduling Tools (ESCAPE, PCT, HARMONIC) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Systems/software requirements development, validation, integration or verification
  • Model-based System Design (using Simulink)
  • Arinc 661 graphics development (using Scade)
  • Creating test cases for software based upon use cases derived from the system and software requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of avionics systems
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in avionics and systems engineering
  • Help to build a strong, diverse team by recruiting talent, identifying, and developing successors, driving retention and engagement, and fostering an inclusive culture.
