As a Systems Engineer II, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise on a variety of projects and programs for exciting new technologies in the field of Alternative Position, Navigation, and Timing Systems. You will use your expert knowledge of systems design, integration, and architecture development to support breakthrough product development. You will serve as a key contributor for a systems architecture development and integration effort with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists. You will also support new business opportunities and pursuits with an integrated sales, business, and technical team.

  • Drive safety and certification activities for airborne systems.
  • Support system verification and algorithm validation.
  • Coordinate between interdisciplinary teams.
  • Develop Minimum Operating Standards for the Industry.
  • Conduct technical reporting and customer interface.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • 2+ years of experience working in systems design in an aerospace R&D environment or similar field.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably in Electrical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering) or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • In-depth knowledge of avionics systems, including flight control systems, navigation systems, communication systems, and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of Inertial, GPS, or Alternative PNT sensors.
  • Familiarity with avionics hardware and software development processes.
  • Experience with Digital Engineering Concepts, MBSE, Digital Twin, Digital Thread.
  • Knowledge of avionics communication protocols and standards (e.g., ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet, CAN bus).
  • Experience with system-level testing and verification techniques.
  • Understanding of configuration management principles and tools.
  • Experience driving safety and certification activities for airborne systems.
