About The Position

We are looking for a driven, independent thinker, with excellent customer service skills to join our Data Center Services team to manage our fleet of virtual desktops. The environment is designed with the Omnissa Horizon platform and VMware virtualization suite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant practical experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Relevant industry certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years’ experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
  • 5 years’ experience using Omnissa (VMware) Horizon technologies.
  • 10 years’ experience managing Windows based systems in a corporate environment.
  • 5 years’ experience using PowerShell scripting for automation and customization.
  • 5 years installing Windows Operating System, utilizing imaging-based technics.
  • 5 years’ experience managing Windows using Group Policy and InTune Policy.
  • 5 years’ experience managing Windows Operating System in a virtual infrastructure.
  • 5 years’ experience managing virtual infrastructure in a Horizon environment.
  • Direct customer service experience for end-user support.
  • 5 years’ experience using scripting languages to automate routine processes.
  • 5 years’ experience creating system design documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Design, document, implement and maintain Omnissa Horizon platform and applications.
  • Assist with the design, documentation, and implementation of VMware Virtual Foundation.
  • Maintain base images monthly.
  • Monitor and maintain overall system integrity.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level to support to troubleshoot and mitigate end user connections.
  • Installation of applications and configuration for base image deployment.
  • Remediate security findings.
  • Create documentation as required by Data Center Services leadership.
  • Document and manage system baselines and compliance polices.
  • Oversee and validate application baseline adherence.
  • Collaborate with support teams to communicate changes.
  • Support and maintain Windows operating system and associated applications.
  • Support and maintain Microsoft Office 365.
  • Support and maintain various applications for use in a shared environment.
  • Assist with communication with employees related to major operational changes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
