We are currently looking for recent graduates to serve as a Systems Engineer, with an emphasis on mathematics and algorithm development, on challenging software development projects. Solipsys is a wholly owned subsidiary of Collins Aerospace and an industry leader in the development of integrated C4I Network Centric Defense System solutions for both the Domestic and International DoD. Emphasis at this level is System Modeling and Analysis of software products. The successful candidate will be engaged with exciting and innovative advancements in Multi-Sensor and Information Fusion, Networked Situational Awareness, and Visualization technologies at our Fulton, Maryland office (in Maple Lawn) with occasional travel to customer sites, including international locations.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as an intern or summer hire, working for a DoD contractor
  • Understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) techniques, and the Unified Modeling Language (UML)
  • Experience using system modeling tool such as MatLab
  • Working knowledge of Linux Operating System and Java and C++ software languages
  • Experience with standard MS Office product suite applications
