Come join Lockheed's Strategic Reentry Programs. This group of diverse Engineers has a long history of supporting the Air Force Mission reaching back to the 1960's. Today's challenge is to support the modernization of the Minuteman Weapon System by crafting, building, testing and deploying new Reentry Systems and Ground Equipment that will enable the new system to perform for many years to come. This critical mission area must be done right, pass meticulous certifications and last for many years to come. If this challenge is for you, you belong in SRP. As a Systems Engineer for the Sentinel program you will directly help establish the technical solution and overall system design for one of our country's most vital and sophisticated strategic systems!

Requirements

  • Engineering Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/ined education
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering concepts and processes
  • Experience in one or more Systems Engineering functions, such as subsystem design or analysis, CONOPS development, system modeling or analysis, requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development, system trade studies, system integration, test and/or verification, test planning and execution, design reviews
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or above

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in requirements and verification of requirements
  • Experience working in the development phase of a Space or Missile development program preferably for the US Government
  • Familiarity with engineering tools: SysML/Cameo, DOORS, MATLAB, Architecture Framework such as DoDAF, Model Center
  • Script modification and development, preferably with DOORS
  • Experience with ePDM and change processes
  • Ability to define and document solutions to complex problems and convey solutions to both senior management and other internal/external teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, synergetic team environment
  • Demonstrated basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors
  • Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering
  • Technical writing skills and experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build solid relationships with team members

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems definitions
  • Establish system architecture and CONOPS, perform system trades and analysis, flow down the architecture and CONOPS into requirements and interfaces, and support verification planning
  • Use excellent communication skills to work across the Lockheed Martin organization and customer/user community to ensure consensus and understanding of solutions
  • Use the latest in MBSE tools and processes to generate synergistic models to establish linkages across verification artifacts and requirements
