Reporting to the Regional Systems Engineering Manager, you'll be working alongside some of the most skilled networking engineers in the industry. In collaboration with our Product Management and Software Development teams, you will play a pivotal role in steering product developments, offerings, and strategic direction to best serve our customers and prospects. Supported by the expertise of our world class Arista TAC, Professional Services, cutting-edge proof-of-concept resources, and support of the executive team, you are well-positioned to lead and innovate within the industry.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, gathering requirements, qualifying opportunities, and designing solutions.
  • Collaborate with Arista Account Managers to understand enterprise and commercial clients and conduct whiteboard network architectural designs.
  • Conduct product presentations of Arista's Data Center Networking and Cognitive Campus solutions.
  • Utilize expertise in network design and implementation to create scalable Arista Data Center and Campus network solutions.
  • Work with customers and Arista proof-of-concept team to validate network designs and deployments.
  • Offer design guidelines and work with Arista Professional Services to provide recommendations and turn-key solutions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to respond to RFP/RFQs and provide feedback to Product Management and Engineering.
  • Represent Arista at industry events and conferences to promote Arista's innovative network solutions.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in networking technology.
  • Author and collaborate on customer and sales facing content showcasing expertise in network design.
  • Network Industry Certification preferred, such as ACE-L4, ACE-L6, ACE-L7.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in L2/L3 networking design and implementation with a focus on Campus and Wi-Fi solutions.
  • Expert-level experience with routing and switching, including .1x and NAC integrations.
  • Current hands-on experience in designing campus and leaf-spine network architectures.
  • Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales SE, or Network Consulting Engineer.
  • Expert knowledge in Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, .1x and QoS.
  • Good understanding of the competitor technology landscape, specifically Cisco and Juniper.
  • Expert-level knowledge of the industry-standard Command Line Interface (CLI).
  • Previous experience building network automation using Python and Ansible is highly desired.
  • Strong writing skills and ability to create informative white papers on technology and products.
  • Local to the area.
