About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a Systems Engineer - Architecting, Requirements & Interfaces (Lead or Senior) to join our team in Albuquerque, NM developing new advanced concepts on a DOD propriety program. The position will serve in lead a role within Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) supporting the entire product life cycle of the program through requirements derivation and development, design, procurement, integration, test, verification and validation. Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including lead and senior level engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 9+ years of related engineering experience
  • Experience with requirements and/or architecture development for complex systems
  • This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts for requirements decomposition, specification development, interfaces requirements and specifications, etc. and capture them in the MBSE models
  • Support cross-functional engineering teams in developing systems to meet project/program commitments, including support of deliveries and customer reviews
  • Support the program in implementing MBSE for requirements derivation, decomposition and traceability as part of digital engineering to meet customer expectations
  • Lead program-level risks/issues/opportunities tracking and technology readiness assessments as they relate to architecture and requirements decisions
  • Lead cross-functional teams in developing products and interacting with government customers
  • Lead requirements trade studies to recommend options that improve mission performance, cost/schedule, and technical feasibility
  • Lead technical discussions with chief engineers (CEs), subject matter experts (SMEs), technical lead engineers (TLEs) across multiple engineering disciplines to identify and formulate plans to execute and implement solutions to resolve technical issues
