About The Position

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for leading the full lifecycle design, integration, testing, deployment, training, and sustainment of packet-based hardware and software systems. This role focuses on integrating Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) solutions across hardware, software, and network environments to ensure interoperability, operational performance, and mission success. The position provides technical leadership throughout system development and sustainment, driving reliable, scalable, and secure solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of twenty (20) years of Systems Engineering experience on programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Five (5) additional years of Systems Engineering experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

  • DOD 8570 Certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, integration, testing, deployment, training, and sustainment of packet-based hardware and software systems utilizing COTS and GOTS technologies.
  • Drive end-to-end systems integration across hardware, software, and network components to ensure interoperability, scalability, and optimized performance.
  • Develop and execute system integration plans, validation and verification activities, and deployment strategies to ensure operational readiness and compliance with requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance BASH and PERL scripts to automate system provisioning, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of core servers and clustered computing environments.
  • Implement automation and process improvements to improve system reliability, efficiency, and maintainability.
  • Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting, system upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and lifecycle sustainment activities.
  • Deliver training and technical guidance to administrators, operators, and engineering teams while ensuring adherence to security, configuration management, and operational standards.
