About The Position

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with strong radio frequency (RF) expertise to support the deployment, integration, and sustainment of mission-critical RF communication systems. The successful candidate will apply systems engineering principles to both Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) and mission-tailored RF solutions, contributing to system architecture, modernization initiatives, and lifecycle engineering activities across a diverse communications portfolio.

Requirements

  • Minimum of fourteen (14) years of experience as a Systems Engineer supporting programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying, installing, integrating, and sustaining RF systems, including HF, VHF, and UHF platforms, with familiarity in GOTS-based solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Five (5) additional years of relevant Systems Engineering experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, integrate, and sustain GOTS-based and mission-specific RF communication systems, including HF, VHF, and UHF platforms and associated RF/FORNSAT hardware and software.
  • Provide end-to-end lifecycle systems engineering support, including requirements analysis, system design, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
  • Architect, configure, and optimize RF and GOTS-based solutions to meet mission, operational, and security requirements.
  • Administer and maintain Linux and Windows Server environments, ensuring performance, availability, and compliance with security standards.
  • Deliver virtualization support across cloud-based and on-premises infrastructures.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues and support modernization efforts to improve reliability, interoperability, and mission effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders and cross-functional teams to provide technical leadership, security best practices, and operational excellence.
