The candidate should be self-motivated and willing to work and learn in a fast paced environment as part of a dynamic and growing subsystem development team. Additionally, the candidate should be experienced in all facets of system development and familiar with common system engineering tools and practices. This role is onsite, in Huntsville, Alabama. This role may be eligible for relocation. What You Will Do: You will be part of a team that supports the Domestic and International versions of the UH/HH-60 Black Hawk cockpit. Successful programs depend on teamwork grounded in internal communication as well as direct interaction with the end customer including presentations, technical exchanges, and on-site support. You will be assisting in elements of the system engineering process including requirements analysis and capture, system/sub-system design, software requirements definition, integration, and formal test for requirement verification. You will integrate solutions within their target environment. You will execute Integration, Dry Run, and Formal Qualification Testing. You will analyze and document system behaviors. You will support system trade studies, requirements analysis, and allocation to subsystems. What You Will Learn: You will learn the verification process of software requirements by creating and running functional tests in a laboratory test environment utilizing a combination of simulations and interfacing subsystems. You will Assisting in other elements of the system engineering process including requirements analysis and capture, system/sub-system design, software requirements definition, integration, and formal test for requirement verification. You will perform assignments in conjunction with other system and software engineers using Collins Aerospace engineering processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained prior to start.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, SVN, DOORS, Python, MATLAB, and Eclipse.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of CMMI or DO-178 derived processes.
  • Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering practices.
  • Experience executing functional testing in formal environments.
