Under the direction of the Senior Director of Technology, you will design, develop, and maintain data systems and architecture to support our manufacturing operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize data collection, processing, and analysis to drive efficiency and quality improvements.

Develop and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various manufacturing systems.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and IT teams to understand data requirements and design data solutions.
Maintain and optimize databases, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
Create dashboards and reports for stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to enhance data capabilities.

Proven experience in heavy industry or a manufacturing process as a Data Engineer or similar role.
Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Fabric, OneLake & PowerApps
Strong proficiency in SQL & TSDB's and experience with database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Influx, QuestDB).
Experience in developing data ingestion pipelines (Telegraf, Kafka, MQTT, Redpanda)
Familiarity with data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop, Flink) and data visualization tools (e.g., Grafana, Tableau, Power BI).
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with data governance and compliance issues.
Experience : Equivalent to five plus years increasingly responsible experience designing, developing, and maintaining data systems and architecture to support manufacturing operations.
Experience working with cross-functional teams to optimize data collection, processing, and analysis to drive efficiency and quality improvements.
Education : Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, Engineering, or extensive industry experience .
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status.

Possession of one or more of the following certifications is desirable: Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer and Certified Data Management Professional.
