Under the direction of the Senior Director of Technology, you will design, develop, and maintain data systems and architecture to support our manufacturing operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize data collection, processing, and analysis to drive efficiency and quality improvements.

  • Develop and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various manufacturing systems.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and IT teams to understand data requirements and design data solutions.
  • Maintain and optimize databases, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Create dashboards and reports for stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to enhance data capabilities.
  • Proven experience in heavy industry or a manufacturing process as a Data Engineer or similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Fabric, OneLake & PowerApps
  • Strong proficiency in SQL & TSDB's and experience with database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Influx, QuestDB).
  • Experience in developing data ingestion pipelines (Telegraf, Kafka, MQTT, Redpanda)
  • Familiarity with data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop, Flink) and data visualization tools (e.g., Grafana, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance issues.
  • Experience : Equivalent to five plus years increasingly responsible experience designing, developing, and maintaining data systems and architecture to support manufacturing operations.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to optimize data collection, processing, and analysis to drive efficiency and quality improvements.
  • Education : Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, Engineering, or extensive industry experience .
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status.
  • Possession of one or more of the following certifications is desirable: Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer and Certified Data Management Professional.
