About The Position

3M Health Care is now Solventum Solventum is seeking System Control Technician candidates to join our team in Irvine CA! Pay: $47.58 - $48.63/hour + shift differentials (varies by experience) Permanent Shift: 3rd Shift (Sunday – Thursday; 9:00pm – 5:30am) Training Shift Details: 1st shift (Monday – Friday; 5:00am – 1:30pm) Estimated training period: 3 months – 1 year At Solventum, we enable better, smarter, safer healthcare to improve lives. Requirements

  • Possess a two (2) year technical degree in a mechanical, electrical, or electronics field
  • Possess two (2) years of mechanical/electrical equipment maintenance experience
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.
  • Ability to work 3rd Shift (Sunday – Thursday; 9:00pm – 5:30am)

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) or more years of mechanical/electrical equipment maintenance experience, with an emphasis on Process Instrumentation and Control Systems.
  • Possess the knowledge and skillsets required to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical industrial equipment and devices.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel, MS Teams, and SAP
  • Ability to maintain the required quality and quantity of personal hand tools as listed by plant management.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, modifying, repairing, troubleshooting, diagnosing and inspecting plant and production equipment, electrical components and automation control systems, including maintaining documentation.
  • Collaborating with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Plant Engineering teams to identify, evaluate, and select electrical equipment and electronic systems most appropriate for the specified applications.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting Fanuc robots, Allan Bradley controls systems, data acquisitions and automation systems.
  • Reading electrical diagrams, elementary diagrams, PLC logic listings, instrument flow diagrams, web line diagrams, and schematic diagrams.
  • Performing preventive maintenance procedures and conducting calibration of plant and production equipment.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting power and distribution systems, loading and removing programs, and creating and modifying spreadsheets, historical trending databases, and word processing databases.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe work environment and reporting unsafe work conditions, practices, or equipment to management immediately.
  • Possessing the ability to clearly speak, understand, and write in English to communicate effectively in both verbal and written contexts.
