About The Position

The Systems Architecture Intern will help design, test, and validate the IoT platform and the ecosystem. We aim to develop your talents as an engineer and enable you to contribute significantly to the Smart Connected Products platform in new feature design and development during your time at Rheem. This position is in our Advanced Technology Integration department in Roswell, Georgia (Hybrid) . This position will start immediately, working 20-40 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma or GED; Technical/Business education or certification in addition to prior work experience
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer engineering.
  • Understanding of Computer science fundamentals – Data Structures, Algorithms, Computer Networks, Computer Architecture
  • Good command of Python, JavaScript, and AWS cloud-native software services.
  • Basic knowledge of SW engineering principles
  • Ability to plan work tasks
  • Willingness to write reports/specifications and present your findings to the team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work in full stack and build highly scalable solutions that enable positive user experiences and drive measurable business growth.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and creative teams to design, build and test.
  • Build complex web applications based on connected products powered by RheemConnect.
  • Engage in architectural design, review, and transfer knowledge across cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high code quality standards and thoughtful design.
  • Work with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company.
  • Managing cloud environments following company security guidelines
  • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures.
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.
