The Lead Systems Architect will provide a key role in the expansion of L3Harris's systems solutions within Western Europe and NATO's communication modernization programs. This role is customer-facing and pivotal in leading technical discussions, formulating systems architectures, and crafting bespoke C4ISR solutions that incorporate TCOM products into diverse platforms. The position requires regional travel and active participation in the establishment of a European presence.

  • Lead technical discussions with customer development teams, leveraging L3Harris Radio and modern MANET Waveforms.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Program and Project Management to translate customer requirements, including informal ones, into balanced technical, schedule, and cost solutions.
  • Participate alongside the Sales and Business Development teams in growing regional business, opportunities and strategic goals.
  • Develop comprehensive system architectures to meet customer-specific requirements for Comms modernization and C4ISR systems.
  • Establish reusable and scalable Systems Architectures and System Concepts of Use tailored to customer-specific requirements and use cases.
  • Provide guidance during design and integration activities of L3Harris products with third-party systems.
  • Assist with the physical integration designs and plans or Radio products into various platforms.
  • Prepare white papers and presentations, and present custom systems solutions directly to customers.
  • Represent L3Harris Communication Systems at NATO and Customer-lead conferences and technical meetings.
  • Partner with Product PLM and Engineering to influence technical product changes and roadmaps.
  • Develop relationships with technical teams from European CDR network and regional strategic partners.
  • Familiarity with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Contract Sales (DCS) programs.
  • Willingness to travel 25-40% of the time to international locations to support customer meetings, demos, conferences and equipment integration.
  • Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior related Systems Level Design and Integration experience.
  • Graduate Degree or equivalent with 7 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

  • Proficiency in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with requirements management and system modeling tools.
  • Knowledge of Multi-Level Security (MLS), cross-domain networks, and Federated Mission Networking (FMN) Framework Process.
  • Strong technical proposal experience including detailed scheduling, work breakdown structure development, basis of estimates development and technical writing.
