Requirements

Minimum of 15 years of demonstrable experience
Significant experience with System Architecture and Engineering
Familiarity with the sponsor’s enterprise systems
Working knowledge of PKI Certificates
Significant experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Microsoft, Google, and/or Oracle)
Strong, hands-on experience with Linux (CLI)
Experience with scripting and programming languages like BASH and Python
Experience in working on teams utilizing Agile workflows and processes
Experience with Jira

Nice To Haves

Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and understand key concepts like digital certificates, Certificate Authorities (CAs), Registration Authorities (RAs), key management practices, cryptographic algorithms, certificate revocation procedures, and trust chains
Experience working with CloudFormation / Puppet / Groovy, or other configuration and automation tools
Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL / MariaDB, Oracle)
Experience with Jenkins
Experience with containers
Network engineering troubleshooting between Cloud environments and non-Cloud environments
Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions such as Ansible / Terraform, or other configuration and automation tools
Solid understanding of Web Application Firewall (WAF) configuration and management
Experience with networking (e.g., ports, routing tables, subnets, VPNs, firewalls, routers, etc.) to include design, integration and troubleshooting issues
Experience working in a cloud-based environment (AWS)

Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance to the team’s System Engineers and Developers
Provide status updates to contract PMO and government staff lead
Assist in completing monthly Program Management Review (PMR) charts
Represent the team at staff meetings, requirements meetings, tech lead meetings, and TEMs
Represent the team at community wide working groups and coordinate the sponsor’s response to action items
Shepherd new requirements thru the sponsor’s requirements process / pipeline
Ensure designs are compatible with the architecture and security requirements
Work with the team’s security engineer to address/mitigate security findings stemming from system security scans
Prepare communications for upcoming releases
Work with the government staff lead and project team lead to prioritize work
Work with all Cloud Service Providers to meet their PKI requirements
Research new technologies / products that will help increase the overall Authentication security posture for sponsor systems
