About The Position

Under administrative direction, responsible for the architectural design, development and deployment of the enterprise's products and services. Defines solutions based on business needs, cost and required integration with existing applications, systems or platforms. Researches, identifies, selects and tests technology products required for product or service solution delivery. Establishes, implements and documents technology integration or migration strategies.

Requirements

  • College Degree in the field of computer science, information science, management information systems preferred
  • Minimum 12 years' IT development experience or equivalent preferred
  • Experience as Technical Lead and/or Project Architect on very complex multi-subsystem solution delivery projects preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills and the ability to communicate with business partners and other IT staff
  • Problem solving skills sufficient to perform research and recommend a proposed solution to problems
  • Able to work on multiple tasks and meet established deadlines
  • Able to effectively direct and coordinate the work of other team members on a project without having HR management responsibility for them
  • Knowledge of computer programming languages as required for the system
  • May be required to travel to a company office or location other than your normal workplace for trainings, meetings, conferences or to support business needs.
  • Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor technical design and delivery activities for one or more product or service teams.
  • Define and document solution approach for technical problems or opportunities.
  • Create and maintain solution development and delivery standards and specifications.
  • Prepare and interpret architectural requirements for a product or service.
  • Create and maintain solution design specifications.
  • Provide expert direction and support for one or more of application, data, integration, security, operational and systems management architectural and design domains.
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability with business required systems, products and services.
  • Provide expert direction and support for Systems Development Life Cycle and Change Management requirements and tools.
  • Contribute to developing the roadmap for improving and/or further leveraging products or services.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information resources against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure.
  • Recommend product or service improvements and upgrades.
  • May be required to be on call and may be required to work for extended periods outside of normal business hours in conjunction with a product or service delivery schedule.
  • Maintain professional, technical and business skills relevant to the job.
  • Utilize established report, time accounting and collaborative process to provide data for management. Adhere to management requirements on time reporting and accountability.
  • Participate in and support the identification and resolution of product or service issues.
  • Participate in and support the development of cost-benefit and return on investment analysis for products or services.
  • Liaise with company’s technology suppliers for prompt recertification of incidents.
  • Take an active role in cross-departmental projects when needed.
  • Partner in oversight of quality assurance of program logic, data processing, and error resolution.
