Our Mission, Vision, and Values guide the way we do business. Are you ready for your next career challenge? Leidos Defense provides a diverse portfolio of systems, solutions, and services covering land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace for customers worldwide. Solutions for Defense include enterprise and mission IT, large-scale intelligence systems, command and control, geospatial and data analytics, cybersecurity, logistics, training, and intelligence analysis and operations support. Our team is solving the world’s toughest security challenges for customers with “can’t fail” missions. Leidos Defense is seeking a talented RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. The RAM Engineer will work on small or large programs associated with the DoD, DARPA, NASA, and commercial applications. The selected candidate is expected to have a significant impact on the development of reliability artifacts throughout the system’s life cycle. Examples of artifacts include, but are not limited to: reliability prediction, Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) analysis, reliability block diagrams (RBD), reliability reports, statistics, Failure Modes Effect (Criticality) Analysis (FMEA/FMECA), Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS). The selected candidate will be expected to collaborate on multi-disciplinary teams to resolve complex and significant problems using their technical knowledge. The selected candidate may present reliability engineering artifacts they have developed to the customer in formal design reviews and may serve as a customer liaison in many of their programs. The RAM Engineer will work in a matrixed organization at Leidos, with the potential to support one or multiple programs at once in a variety of engineering fields with different team environments, from the large-scale programs that Leidos is the prime contractor for, to smaller-scale programs for which Leidos provides support as a subcontractor to companies in the top 100 DoD contractors. The candidate will join a diverse team of other RAM engineers, systems engineers and specialty engineers (e.g., Safety and Human Factors, Risk, Test) within Leidos and may have the opportunity to work on programs from their preferred background, as well as challenge themselves by working on programs outside of their expertise. As a RAM Engineer, this candidate may serve as RAM Engineer on at least one major program, where they may be part of a small team or a larger team of systems engineers. In this role, the candidate may interface with program IPTs, customers, and line management. The expectation is for the RAM Engineer to work independently with significant impact on project deliverables. The RAM engineer may also have the opportunity to impact RAM processes outside their program as the RAM capability within Leidos keeps growing. The goal of the Defense Systems Sector is to eventually incorporate RAM analyses into a Model-Based Systems Engineering environment where possible.
