Intel's IO and Chipset Engineering team is looking for an engineer ready to grow their business acumen and support Intel's Client customers. A system and hardware engineer provides technical support for solutions that incorporate one or more Intel products and technologies, drives solution design ensuring time to market readiness, transforms opportunities to design and production wins, and enables ecosystem and industry partners for platform solution readiness. Develops and implements product design, development, and validation tools and provides technical and issue resolution support during development, testing, and production. Evaluates, designs, and develops new software and hardware fixtures and utilizes tools during project deployment to validate and optimize product quality and performance. Creates product specifications, hardware design guides, application notes, and other supporting technical collateral. Collaborates and enables internal and external silicon, hardware, and software teams to deliver latest products in the market. Partners with customer R and D and manufacturing to ensure smooth product ramp through integrating customer DFx requirements, mitigating customer factory challenges, delivering product training, and providing health oversight with rapid technical support and systematic improvement action. The IO and Chipset engineering team focuses on IO technologies like Audio, PCIe, USB, SATA and Power Management.

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field plus 4+ years of experience, OR Master's Degree in the same fields plus 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience in designing, validating, and enabling electronic systems and platforms.
  • MBA and/or advanced technical degree.
  • Experience with IO interfaces such as PCIe, USB, SATA, Audio, Power Management.
  • Firmware or BIOS development experience.
  • Lab debug skills utilizing lab tools (ITP, Oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, debug HW/SW).
  • Experience with board layout and design tools like Allegro or Cadence.
