About the position

The Business Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. They work closely with stakeholders to understand, analyze, and document business and system requirements and capabilities, translating these into functional specifications for technical and operational teams. They are instrumental in ensuring that the organization's technological infrastructure aligns with its strategic goals, enhancing overall efficiency and productivity. This position requires direct experience with our core system, Fiserv Premier.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to analyze and administer our core system, Fiserv Premier
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, managers, and IT staff, to obtain, document, and validate business requirements.
  • Assess and analyze current business processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Prepare an analysis of costs and benefits so that management can decide if information systems and computing infrastructure upgrades are financially worthwhile.
  • Provide recommendations to management and/or system stakeholders by proactively seeking out ways to make system improvements and efficiencies.
  • Develop functional and technical specifications for new systems, modifications, or integrations.
  • Create and execute test plans to ensure that systems meet business requirements and function as expected.
  • Serve as a liaison between business units and IT teams, facilitating clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, process flows, system specifications, and other relevant information to support project implementation and future reference.
  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Serve as liaison with third party vendors and assist with maintaining vendor agreements and invoicing.
  • Assist with coordination, data gathering, and document review for bank audits and exams.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a related role.
  • Proven experience in requirement gathering, process analysis, and solution design.
  • 3 plus years of direct experience with Fiserv systems, specifically the Fiserv Hosted Premier Core.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency with Fiserv bank applications and processes.
  • Familiarity with business process modeling, data analysis, and software development tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and project management software is advantageous.
