About The Position

The Systems Analyst - Senior position at ClinicalConnect HIE involves providing advanced analytical services to support the Health Information Exchange. This role requires a proficient level of experience in defining requirements, developing and maintaining computer applications, and delivering IT services to meet client needs. The position is primarily remote, with responsibilities including documentation, support, project management, and process improvement, all aimed at enhancing the quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery in western Pennsylvania.

Requirements

  • Typically has 5+ years experience with modern technology and application support through education or practical experience.
  • Highly driven and self-motivated to exceed expectations.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records Systems preferred.
  • Experience with HL7 interfaces preferred.
  • Experience with SQL preferred.
  • Strong time management, organization, and planning skills.
  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of information technology fundamental tools and concepts (SDLC).
  • Completes ongoing training on-the-job, through courses, self-study, certifications, and/or advanced degrees.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with healthcare data management and analysis.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Complete detail-oriented documentation for new and moderately complex processes.
  • Ensure the quality and validity of produced documents.
  • Extract and document customer/business requirements for enterprise architecture and engineering teams.
  • Independently triage and resolve Level 2 and Level 3 support issues.
  • Act as a mentor to less experienced staff in resolving Level 2 and Level 3 issues.
  • Handle problem management as appropriate.
  • Take ownership of projects and distribute tasks to team members, ensuring milestone completion.
  • Maintain a proficient understanding of multiple system/application development life cycles (SDLC).
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
  • Ensure data quality is maintained at all times.
  • Interact with vendors on technical issues and project initiatives, acting as the point person for issue escalation.
  • Write and analyze complex reports, making modifications as necessary and mentoring less experienced team members.
  • Create training content and facilitate detailed user training sessions.
  • Manage process improvement efforts and recognize opportunities for enhancements.
  • Identify new functionality and hardware requirements related to application upgrades and implementations, creating test plans and managing cutover plans.
  • Demonstrate clear and effective written and oral communications to build relationships and accomplish work.
  • Embrace a team-first approach to successfully complete projects and initiatives, mentoring less experienced staff.
  • Engage in continuous self-development and seek feedback for improvement.
  • Coordinate tasks and resources related to system integration, validation of testing, and implementation oversight.
  • Provide independent oversight of operations and production support, managing production support issues and ensuring timely resolution.
