MARS Solutions Group is looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst located in Madison, WI. Our client is a government agency looking for high-quality talent to make a difference. The selected hire must be onsite a minimum of two days per week. Under the general guidance of the IT Solution Delivery Manager, this position is responsible for growing and operating the Information Technology Solution Delivery program. This position serves as an expert resource and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Essential duties include: reviewing and understanding business objectives and problems, analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing or developing computer systems; conferring with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats for reports; writing detailed stories, based on business requirements and user stories, for program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs; writing operational manuals for users; performing testing, validation, and quality assurance of client's information technology; maintaining a high degree of professionalism including during interactions with executive leadership; creating and implementing IT policies, procedures, standards and guidelines. The incumbent is expected to be familiar with a wide variety of IT concepts, practices, and technologies. This position may lead and direct the work of others.
