About The Position
The Systems Analyst III position is located in the Utilities Enterprise Systems Division of the Utilities Department within the City of Oklahoma City. An employee in this classification is responsible for providing overall technical and operational management for lines of business supporting information technology applications and/or may serve multiple departments within a large municipal government enterprise. This position typically reports to the Assistant Director or Business Systems Manager. Essential job functions include: directing and supervising professional and technical staff in the development and revision of systems/applications; planning, designing, developing, implementing and managing projects, programs, new systems or enhancements to current systems; and ensuring that standards and controls are maintained consistent with sound information management policy. The incumbent frequently interacts with system users, other technical staff, department managers and hardware and software vendors. In addition, the incumbent must stay abreast of technological advancements within their field which can include Data Management, Application Development, Geographical Information Systems, and enterprise level application support for Financial and Human Resource systems.
