About The Position

The Clinical Trials Systems Analyst is responsible for the application support and maintenance activities of the clinical research applications utilized in the Tisch Cancer Center (TCC) (e.g. OnCore, Florence). This individual assists with training staff in the use of these systems and coordinates reporting needs. The position requires a detailed oriented professional, with the ability to learn and understand the reporting requirements of the Cancer Center Support Grant. The Tisch Cancer Center is a vital component of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital and plays a key role in the Mount Sinai Health System, which is one of the largest health care systems in the nation. We are a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated center and provide a multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatments and clinical breakthroughs that may one day put an end to cancer.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Five years of experience in systems analysis and application program development.
  • Able to manage projects from inception to successful implementation
  • Requires strong analytical, communication, technical teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Able to foster working relationships with the team and departments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: 2-3 years of related experience as a project team member of which at least two years has been in the field of research administration or clinical research
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Visio preferred
  • Knowledge of Tableau preferred
  • Knowledge of OnCore/Clinical Trials Management Systems preferred
  • Knowledge of EPIC preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform in depth analysis of Tisch Cancer Institute research operation workflows and data collection methods
  • Create workflow diagrams and step-by-step process documentation
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement solutions
  • Participate in the integration efforts between OnCore and other clinical operating systems (i.e. EPIC)
  • Support end users in daily use of the clinical research applications
  • Work with internal teams and/or vendor, where appropriate, to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Coordinate and perform OnCore end user training for a broad group of users across the Tisch Cancer Institute
  • Build and develop training environments
  • Develop continuing education programs for existing OnCore users
  • Create and maintain user documentation and training videos
  • Consult and collaborate with the clinical research management teams to review reporting needs
  • Prepare reports and dashboards from OnCore or Cancer Registry; run adhoc queries from Data Warehouse
  • Provision account access for OnCore and Florence eBinders
  • Assist in testing and system validations
  • Maintain exceptional familiarity with the OnCore and Florence systems
  • Maintains working relationships with study teams
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or requested
