The Systems Analyst formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements and devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time, and form of desired results. This includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' work experience preferably in a Project Management Organization and/or IT function Planning project execution operations.
  • Typically possesses 7 or more years' experience performing systems development activities.
  • Extensive experience with IT projects executed under standard systems development life cycles and associated phases and processes.
  • Full technical knowledge of most phases of systems analysis needed, but also the ability to consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.
  • Demonstrate understanding of standard project management processes procedures and documents.
  • Possesses knowledge of the development and support of client server applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to model, analyze, design, test implement, and maintain complex applications.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, revise, and maintain comprehensive documentation for security and operational standards, procedures, and workflows.
  • Establish and manage document control protocols including versioning, formatting, and distribution.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with internal knowledgebase systems and complies with organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to capture technical and procedural knowledge in clear, structured formats.
  • Review existing standards and processes to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct gap analyses and recommend actionable changes to streamline operations.
  • Implement approved process changes and monitor adoption and effectiveness.
  • Maintain updated training materials and ensure alignment with revised procedures.
  • Design new performance metrics to evaluate process effectiveness, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Enhance existing metrics for improved clarity, relevance, and usability.
  • Collaborate with data owners to ensure accurate sourcing and reporting.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to communicate metric outcomes and trends to leadership.
  • Work closely with Corporate Security, Engineering, and Project Management teams to ensure documentation and process standards are integrated across functions.
  • Participate in regular check-ins with leadership to report progress, audit results, and recommend interventions.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors when documentation overlaps with external services or deliverables.
