ManTech seeks a motivated, career, and customer-oriented System Administrator to join our team at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington. This is an on-site position. As a System Administrator, you will play a key role in providing IT support for various Windows-based technologies, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our systems while supporting mission-critical operations. You will work in a dynamic environment and have opportunities for technical growth and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related scientific discipline (or 6 years of related work experience).
  • 2+ years of relative experience in IT system administration or related fields.
  • Must possess an active IAT II Cybersecurity Workforce IA Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP, CCNA Security, CySA+, etc.).
  • Must be able to obtain an Operating System Certificate within 6 months of hire (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience installing and configuring Linux/RHEL platforms.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software interoperability issues.
  • Proficiency in operating within a large-scale and complex IT environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse customer base.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT systems support for a wide range of Windows-based technologies, including Microsoft Server 2016/2019/2022, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, and Group Policy Editor.
  • Manage the installation and integration of hardware, system fixes, updates, and enhancements.
  • Resolve hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex or non-routine issues.
  • Write and maintain documentation for supported services, processes, and configurations.
  • Maintain relationships with customers with diverse needs and offer solutions tailored to their requirements.
  • Review, plan, test, and implement Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs).
  • Support the development and maintenance of Operating Systems by ensuring the system's stability and security.
  • Provide recommendations for system improvements and troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with other IT professionals, contractors, and vendors to optimize the operational capabilities of the systems.
