About The Position

deciBel Research Inc. has an immediate opening for a Systems Administrator in Huntsville, AL. Position Description: deciBel Research is seeking a Systems Administrator to support the GMD Weapon System (GWS) program. The selected candidate will provide systems administration support across Windows and Linux environments, ensuring system reliability, security compliance, and operational performance within a mission-focused environment.

Requirements

• Experience with Systems Administration for Windows or Linux Operating Systems such as Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Must have a DOD 8140 IAT Level II certification or higher (ex: Security + CE)
• Experience with various windows and Red Hat scripting using tools such as Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
• Knowledge of IAVM's and addressing software vulnerabilities
• Applicant selected must have an active Secret security clearance
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice To Haves

• Active Linux Certifications (Linux+, RHCSA, RHCE)
• Active Windows Certifications (MCSA, MCSE, etc.)
• Experience with DevOps architecture such as Kubernetes, Nexus, Docker, GitLab, etc.
• Experience with security compliance and related security scanning products (ACAS)
• Experience in enterprise backup and restore solutions, storage area network (SAN), and network attached storage (NAS)
• Experience with network administration and related infrastructure
• Experience with hardware installation and maintenance to include firmware upgrades
• Experience with both Windows and Linux scripting languages
• Experience with Windows Patching/WSUS application
