About The Position

The System Administrator will manage and support servers, networks, and user systems while ensuring security and reliability. This role troubleshoots technical issues, implements upgrades, and collaborates with teams to keep IT operations running efficiently.

Requirements

Proficiency with Windows and/or Linux server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and user management.
Experience with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and routing).
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
Strong understanding of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
Hands-on experience with patch management and endpoint security tools.
Ability to script or automate tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
Strong documentation skills and attention to detail for compliance and process improvement
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support end users and collaborate across teams
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience will be considered.
3-5 years of experience in system administration, network administration, or a related IT role required.
Experience managing Windows and/or Linux server environments.

Responsibilities

Configure, administer, and maintain enterprise systems including servers, networks, storage, and user accounts to ensure optimal performance and security.
Perform regular data backups, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity procedures to safeguard organizational data and minimize downtime.
Implement and manage system updates, patches, and security fixes to maintain stability, compliance, and protection against vulnerabilities.
Proactively monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network problems, providing timely support for both users and critical systems.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and changes to support compliance and knowledge transfer.
Provide advanced technical support to end users, resolving escalated IT issues and offering guidance on best practices.
Collaborate with senior IT staff to design and implement system improvements, infrastructure upgrades, and emerging technologies.
Support IT security initiatives, including access management, monitoring, and audit requirements to ensure regulatory and organizational compliance.
