About The Position

The AEGIS O&M program is seeking a Linux/Windows System Administrator at CSEDaS in Moorestown, NJ. Duties include: hardware and software installation / de-installation (COTS and custom software), fault detection and fault isolation, volume backups, system monitoring and clean up, user support and working knowledge of internal/external network interfaces. Candidate must have the ability to write scripts in at least one administrative language. System must be operationally ready at all times. After hour call in support might be required. Candidate must have excellent customer and interpersonal skills. Able to blend technical skills and responsibility to user needs. Candidate must be detail oriented and able to process multiple jobs at the same time. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also important.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years Linux/Windows System Administration skills
  • Security+ Certification
  • Knowledge and ability to work with third party products, as required
  • The ability to work independently in a lab environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Must be able to obtain & maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level or higher

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years’ experience supporting UNIX based users on a LAN, including operating systems
  • Experienced in the installation of COTS-based computer systems.
  • Experience solving end-user computer system problems and improving performance on the following platforms/operating systems: Solaris, Linux RedHat& RedHawk, Concurrent PowerMax, HP-UX and HP-RT.
  • Ability to install and evaluate COTS software products and tools.
  • Working knowledge of COTS software configuration management tools and processes is required.
  • Working knowledge of data communications and networking is required.
  • Experience working with customer/user representatives is required.
  • Experience working on AEGIS Computer Systems B/L 5-B/L9
