  • Systems Management: Work with a team of system administrators to plan, implement, manage and support enterprise IT systems, servers, backup and storage infrastructure across multiple data centers and cloud locations in a WAN environment.
  • Software and Applications: Manage and update various software applications used across the organization, such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, project management tools, CAD applications, and production software.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect Wells' sensitive data and IT infrastructure. Regularly monitor for potential security threats and promptly respond to any security incidents.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery: Establish and maintain a reliable data backup and disaster recovery strategy to safeguard critical business information and minimize downtime during unforeseen events.
  • Asset Management, Budgeting, and Planning: Participate in asset management, budgeting, and planning activities throughout the year to ensure the efficient allocation of resources and the alignment of IT initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
  • System Upgrades and Enhancements: Plan and execute upgrades and enhancements to IT systems, ensuring they align with business requirements and support Wells' continuous growth.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • IT Infrastructure Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for enhancing IT infrastructure, proposing and implementing solutions to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • User Support: Act as a valuable resource and backup to the desktop administrators, assisting in resolving complex IT-related issues escalated from the first-level support team. Provide expert technical assistance to end-users, ensuring timely problem resolution and minimal downtime. Collaborate with the desktop support team to identify recurring issues and participate in implementing permanent solutions.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline is highly preferred
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience with a BS/BA, or 6+ years of relevant work experience
  • Industry certifications preferred
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks, projects, and goals, proactively seeing them through to a successful completion
  • Ability to accurately scope work, provide detailed status reports, and timely escalations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users
  • Strong organizational skills, quick learner, and demonstrated problem solver
  • Work well independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of Windows Servers and Windows clients
  • Proficiency in the management of Active Directory, group policies, file shares and related access permissions
  • Proficiency in networking and routing protocols, firewalls, network security, and cybersecurity best practices
  • Experience configuring, managing, and supporting Microsoft O365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and other Microsoft services and systems
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and services (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of various scripting methods and automation: PowerShell, VBS, Python, etc.
  • Experience with automated deployment of applications and patches
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management systems to support iPads and/or other tablets
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for typing, filing, and using office equipment.
  • Visual acuity and ability to read small print.
  • Hearing acuity and ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to lift and move office supplies and equipment.
  • Mobility and ability to move around the office as needed.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Experience with the following a plus: Microsoft InTune, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and CRM, Microsoft SQL, UKG Pro and Dimensions, Cisco switches, Meraki firewalls and access points, Bluebeam Revu, and supporting/installing AutoCAD and Revit
